Ho-Ho-Ho Holiday Read-a-Thon

I signed up for the Ho-Ho-Ho Holiday Read-a-thon.  It takes place November 6-11.  The goal is to read holiday themed books or books that have winter as the setting.  My personal goal is going to be 3 books.  At this point, I haven't decided which books I'm going to read.  So, it will be fun to see what books I read during that week.

Time to dust off the blog, and start posting about books again.  The weather is starting to get cold - we got our first snow a couple days ago - perfect cozy reading weather.

I'm almost done with Heather Blake's newest release - One Potion in the Grave.  I love this series.  The characters are fun.  The dialogue is hilarious.  I'm already wish for the next in the series, and it will be a while yet.

A Winter's Respite Read-A-Thon

I'm exciting to participate in my first read-a-thon for 2014.  I have a huge list of books to pick from...so many books, so little time...as the saying goes.

Dusting Off My Blog....

Planning on keeping track of my 2014 reading, so I need to dust off my blog, and start.  It's almost the end of January already, hard to believe.

I have a huge TBR pile for this year.  And, there are quite a few books that I'm looking forward to being released this year.

We're enjoying a "cold weather" snow day today.  So, we'll be staying in with books and tea/hot chocolate today.

I read 3 books from my list during the month of October.

Not bad for a busy month.  I'm reading Iced by Carol Higgins Clark at the moment. 

I always enjoy a trip to Darling, Alabama with Albert's wonderful characters.  I wasn't that thrilled with the latest in the Scumble River series by Swanson.  And, I really enjoyed the first book in the cookie cutter series by Lowell.  Actually, I wish that I had put the rest of the series on my list.  But, for now, I'm concentrating on reading what I have on my list.  All books that I've wanted to read for some time.

Being a book release Tuesday, I have 7 new books that have appeared on my Kindle Fire this morning.  Some of my favorite cozy mystery authors have new books out today.  Yeah!
